double page spread layouts

This layout is a bit too confusing for me to like it. I like having the one image on the side however I don't like the way the text is set out around the headline.
I don't like all the over lapping on this layout and it has hardly any text on this page, its all about the images.
I like this design because its got a balance between images although I don't like the over lap of the images.

This is a very simple layout a bit too simple for my liking, every magazine uses this layout as a standard layout. I would want something a bit more original

I like this layout more then the rest. There are a lot of images yet there is a lot of text too. I think I'm going to use this as my layout.

The name

I came up with the name for my magazine by describing my magazine to my media class and they all said words they related with my magazine or music. We came up with things such as curly, forward, freaky, cheeky, fridge, topper etc etc
However someone came up with the word Tonic, and everyone agreed that would be the best name for my magazine. So my magazine is called Tonic.

My act

My old act was going to be called Polly Anna and it was going to be an interview about her life. However this doesn't fit in with the look of my magazine, it makes it seem like a big artist which is not what my magazine is about. So unfortunatly I had to get rid of Polly Anna.

My act is called Everett, as his name is Samuel Everett so taking his last name as the acts name. He is indie music, but along the lines of Jamie T, Jack Penate, Just Jack, The View kind of music. He's 19 years old, just released an album called Everett and the album art is shown above, he is unsigned and produced this album himself in a studio which he rented. He comes from Brighton and does a few gigs there a year to try and get himself noticed. He is a big hit on Youtube and Soundcloud. He's a normal guy, and he's just got an offer from a few record labels. So my magazine will be the first magazine to report on him and have all the information about him before any other.
